Second, please recognize that there are many valid reasons why Zantrex 3 will or will not work for an individual person. Just because Zantrex 3 receives a few positive reviews does not necessarily mean it will work for you. Conversely, a negative product review does not always mean you should dismiss a it.

As always, remember that personal comments are always anecdotal, so use your own judgement when using reviews to influence your buying decision.

I have serious concerns over Zantrex 3 and its side effects. First, I should be clear in my past experience with fat burners. I took ripped fuel for approximately 4 years in doses ranging from 2-5 pills per day. I am familiar with the increased heart rate, irritability and other effects of ephedra.

With that said, I have serious concerns about Zantrex 3. I attempted to take this pill on 2 separate occassions and was instantly thrown into a panic attack, a vicious sweat, and an itching rash brought on by the niacin. My throat closed up and my heart raced. If I did not have an emergency 1mg Klonopin in the house, I am certain that I would have gone to the hospital.

Why did I take it again if I was so scared the first time?

Because I wanted to lose weight. I not been able to locate a favorable review of this product and, in many instances, have read accounts of similar reactions.

The niacin content is extremely high in this supplement. Further, the high caffeine content is outright insane.

I am not worried about my own well-being since I will never take this again. I am, however, concerned that someone is going to get hurt by this supplement.

I think Zantrex-3 should be illegal! I too tried to take it on two separate occasions.

The second time I tried to take it I also went into a panic attack and had the most horrible feeling in my whole body! I just wanted it out of my system at that point. I can’t imagine that the effect that it has on someone else would be much different. I think it is a horrible weight loss product that should be taken OFF the market!

I used Zantrex 3 for 3 months, along with a “healthy” diet (I won’t lie and say that I ate salads and grilled chicken all the time) and exercise roughly 5 days a week.

It didn’t really give me any edge what-so-ever in my attempt at fat loss. I’m a big coffee and soda drinker, so I really didn’t even get an energy increase when taking the maximum dose recommended. I guess if you have a low tolerance to caffeine, you may get an energy boost from it.

All in all I wasn’t very impressed.

I purchased the Zantrex 3 months ago and when I started to use it I had so many side effects — I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, I experience palpitations and shortness of breath. I stopped using it.

I took Zantrex 3 a couple of years ago at the lowest recommended dosage, and I thought I was going to have a heart attack! I am tolerable of caffeine and such, but if other products like ephedra gave you even the slightest jitters, this stuff will screw you up! I threw it away.

I’ve tried Zantrex 3. My problem is that I never remember to take it regularly. That said, I’d like to offer a word of caution to those looking to try this product. I started this product and took it pretty regularly and found that after a while, if I forget to take it, I get a horrendous migraine which no amount of prescription migraine medications can cure.

If I get the headache and take a couple of the Zantrex capsules, the headache goes away. So beware of physical dependence. I’m sure it’s possible to stop taking it for a couple of days and allow the body to adjust to not having that amount of caffeine, but it’s incredibly painful for me and it’s just easier to take a couple pills every morning to prevent the headaches.

Some time ago I started using Zantrex 3 and I ended up in the ER. I thought I was dying. I had heart palpitations and an irregular heartbeat for at least 7 days after I stopped taking the pills.

I only took the recommended dose and I wasn’t even able to sleep because my heart was beating so hard and so fast. The doctor told me to stay away from any diet pills — especially this one. I have used other pills with great results and no side effects, but BEWARE, Zantrex 3 is DANGEROUS!

I have heard so much NEGATIVE about Zantrex 3 I wanted to give you my VERY positive experience with using it.

I have Lupus and whenever I have a “flare up” they put me on steroids which cause me to gain a TON of weight very fast. The last time I gained 25 lbs. in a little over 3 weeks. I am not a person who does well with weight and I am very much into looking good.

I started taking Zantrex 3 (with doc approval) on Jan.31, 2006. I have lost 14 lbs so far! I also make sure I work out. On the Zantrex 3 you DO have increased energy but in my case that is a very good thing. I usually am very sluggish and I have been told depressed even.

I feel AWESOME! NO headaches,stomach problems, jitters, racing heart etc. I have NONE of those side effects that some are so afraid of. I SWEAR by this product and would suggest that anyone wanting to lose weight try it. I have been on many diets only to gain all the weight back plus more. This is a product that you can take long term. I plan on taking it even after I lose the weight because I am able to think more clearly even. I DO NOT run around like a lunatic, but have become very productive around my home and it even increases your sexual desire.

I am so happy about it I tell all my friends who are on diets about it. They are giving there portion control,point counting,expensive food diet another week and if they continue to feel starved they are jumping ship and trying Zantrex 3!

I have been using Zantrex 3 for a little over a year and have lost almost 100 lbs. It is an excellent appetite supressant and a wonderful diet pill. It is inexpensive and works wonders. I have gone from 245 lbs to 148 lbs.

It has totally changed my life!

I have used approximately 6 bottles of Zantrex-3 in the past year. I am a diet pill junkie; have tried most of what is on the market. (Had great success with Ephedra based products before the disappeared).

Zantrex-3 works for me although I have serious concerns about what it may be doing to my heart. (Mind you, I am not overweight; never have been; I am 5’5″, approx. 125 lbs). I guess you could say I am mentally hooked on these pills. Side effects aside, this pill is definitely the one that works for me.

I’ve tried a fair amount of fat-burning supplements and I feel that Zantrex-3 works the best for me.

The recommended dose says to take 2 pills, but I only take 1 because taking 2 causes me to shake and become dizzy with nervous energy. If you’re small-framed like me, you should only start with 1 pill, because it provides more than enough energy.

I’ve lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks while taking Zantrex-3 and have a lot more energy. It’s about $25 at Wal-Mart here in Oklahoma, so a pretty good price for the results it gives.

Zantrex-3 was a great product for me, but I would not recommend it for everyone. I am a habitual coffee drinker, being a 22 year old female college student, and am quite used to the effects of caffeine.

I started Zantrex-3 taking 1 pill 30 minutes before every meal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I could feel the effects of the stimulants right away: alertness, mental acuity, increased heart rate, etc. However, it was not as severe as I have read some people experience.

I then increased to 2 pills before every meal and the weight loss began! I lost a sound 20 lbs in about 3 months taking Zantrex-3.

However, my diet and exercise contributed to the weight loss a great deal as well. I would eat very lightly (probably around 900-1000 cal/day), with breakfast being the largest, lunch smaller, and dinner being under 200 calories. I would then walk briskly for 30 minutes, and stretch.

I went from a size 16 to a 10 (160 lbs to 140 lbs) in 3 months, and I felt great! I had lots of energy.

That was the good side of my experience with Zantrex-3, no here’s the not so good.

I continued taking Zantrex-3 for 2 more months after the first successful 3, and lost no weight! Why? I wasn’t exercising daily, and I was eating a lot more. I also started to notice that I was very excitable (I would get very scared while riding in the car with friends – if they were not driving really well), and I there were moments where I could feel my heart beating very fast (almost like palpitations).

Another bad side effect is dehydration! When on Zantrex-3 you must pay special attention that you are getting enough water! Dehydration, especially in women, I’ve noticed causes menstrual irregularity, constipation, and sluggishness. Not good!

Overall, I think Zantrex-3 is very effective in promoting weight loss when combined with proper exercise and diet!

I tried this pill and had a horrible set of side effects, my ears were on fire, as was my face and parts of my legs and hands, turning red and everything!

Then came horrible stomach pain, and palpitations! It was the worst feeling! The only good point was it killed my hunger for about 24 hrs (off the first dose of 2 pills). I ran around like I was on speed too, personally I threw it out right away, I know of other people that had the itchy burning ears and red splothes also, they should warn us about these things!

I took Zantrex for about 4 days- about 3 to 4 caplets per day. On the 4th day- I had not and could not sleep the night before- I was able to take a two hour nap and upon awakening I had a terrible tonic clonic seizure. Blood vessels burst in my face and, of course, I was hospitalized.

I am positive that Zantrex did it because I never had a seizure before. I am a healthy 19 year old girl. This drug should be taken off the shelves before it happens to someone else!

A total waste of money. Gives you the jitters and makes you feel like you’ve had 10 cups of coffee. The only reason you don’t eat is because your hands are shaking so badly. STAY AWAY!

I have also taken Zantrex-3 to assist with weight loss. Initally I felt nervous and hyper, getting an itchy rash and redness/swelling of the face. This soon subsided and never came back.

It is my feeling that if this product is taken correctly with a reduced diet and exercise it most definitely works. If you need to use it for extra energy it works excellently. It has worked very well for me and I always keep a bottle for weight maintenance from time to time.

This stuff is awful! I followed the recommended dosage on the bottle and passed out! When I came to my head was spinning and my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my body. Needless to say I didn’t use the rest of the bottle – I threw it out!

After doing some research, I decided to try this product mainly because it is herbal based. Now don’t get me wrong I know some herbs taken in the wrong quantities could lead to adverse side effects. BUT MY MY! Never did I think it could be so bad. My heart raced, I felt sick, panicky, nervous and generally very uncomfortable.

I have an increase in energy and major weight loss the only concern I had about it was the fact of my temper… I found myself being really moody and very irritable.

I took the recommended dosage of Zantex-3 one time. I was hoping it would give me “extreme energy” as stated on the bottle. 1 hour after taking it I had heart palpitations, flushing, and was faint. I started to black out and called 911. I could not breath. I had a hot feeling running through my body and no control over by body after 10 minutes after calling 911.

The paramedics came and took an ECG of me.

I am a normal healthy woman, 5′-8″ and 120 pounds, 15% body fat. I run and exercise and have never had any heart problems.

The paramedics said My ECG’S were abnormal and my blood pressure was extremely high. I was not getting enough oxygen to my brain and my heart could not handle the effects of this drug. They had to give me nitroglycerin pills and a patch in the ambulance, as well as hooking me up to an IV for dehydration. A side effect of the drug.

I was rushed to the ER where they performed more ECG’s and again they were very abnormal. I was held overnight in the hospital for an echocardiogram and a stress test. I passed all the tests the next day and the hospital said the Zantrex -3 had caused this problem and you never know how you will be effected.

I urge ANYONE considering this drug to avoid it at all costs. I almost died.
