The “Test” Test: Day 12
John weighed in this morning at 210 pounds – which has been a sort of “glass ceiling” for him over the last year or so. I suspect this is a little on the low side, as he did a pretty strenuous cardio session yesterday afternoon, but he was happy to see it, nonetheless.
Some real progress has been made, though. We did a body comp test this morning, and it looks like his body fat percentage is down 0.5%. His chest, midaxillary and abdominal skinfolds were all ever-so-slightly reduced, which confirms my subjective impression – he’s been looking a little firmer to me (no pun intended).
Speaking of “firmer, though, yesterday he assessed his libido as “‘frisky’ (on a scale from ‘limp’ to ‘stallion’).” Not quite sure if that’s somewhere in the middle or closer to the top…depends on your definition of “stallion,” I guess. I’m not quite sure how to define it myself, although it’s a concept I’m certainly willing to explore. 😀
Overall, he’s been doing a great job on his diet: getting plenty of lean protein and munching on veggies. He’s really into this, and doesn’t feel deprived at all. Even if the IsaTest ends up being nothing more than an herbal Viagra, the whole experiment seems to be doing him some good…so far it’s been a great incentive for cracking down and being disciplined about his diet and workout. It’s been a collaborative effort too, which I think has made a difference.
