“Creative and Wacky?” More Like “Disgusting”
I like lasagna. I also like burgers. But the thought of eating a “lasagna bun burger” damn near makes me want to hurl.
What is a “lasagna bun burger”? It’s a meatball-like patty, slorped in marinara sauce and melted cheese, and encased between two slabs of breaded, deep-fried lasagna.
Oh… and it’s served with fries, of course. Nothing like a greasy, fatty side dish for a greasy, fatty entree!
Naturally, it’s staggeringly popular. According to NBC…
“The Lasagna Bun Burger, the latest installment in PYT’s perpetually one-upping “Burger of the Week” series, has been around for less than a week, but it’s already captured the imagination of a class of hearty eaters driven by innovation and disregard for calorie counts.
…Up, Malcolm and PYT manager/partner Sarah Brown are all unable to commit to a calorie count for the limited-time special, which has sold out each day. Suffice it to say it’s ”probably not for those who are trying to keep their summer swimsuit figure,” Brown said.
What exactly about the Lasagna Bun Burger, which has already garnered nationwide curiosity and coverage, appeals to so many people? Brown speculates it’s just the draw of novelty comfort food.
“When you take comfort food to a creative and wacky level, it sells so much better,” said Malcolm.”
“Creative and wacky”? “Disgusting” is more like it. I’m amazed that it hasn’t been added to the “This is Why You’re Fat” collection yet. It’s probably just a matter of time.

I also like burgers and lasagna, but hardly ever eat either. The thought of the Lasagna Bun Burger is terrible.
I am not amazed at all that it sells out everyday, based on the average American and their need for new, unhealthy and fattening foods!!
