10 Secrets of the Effortlessly Thin

- don’t crash diet
- keep track of our weight
- exercise regularly
- don’t engage in emotional eating
- stop eating when we’re full
- don’t surround ourselves with temptation
- allow ourselves treats
- eat breakfast
- move, stand and fidget more
- don’t skip meals
Not a bad list, overall…except none of these are “secrets”, nor are they effortless – which is what makes the title so dumb. And I don’t like the word “thin” either. For one thing, I’m NOT thin…in fact, I weigh more now than I did when I was younger. Rather, I’m LEAN – my body fat is considerably lower than your average, normal weight woman.
At any rate, the slideshow is worth a look, as it’s a pretty decent touchstone you can use to see where you might be coming up short. Even us “thin” people don’t score 100% – I’ve been known to work through meals at times, which is (ironically) why I sometimes have trouble keeping my weight UP where I think it should be.
