Lipo Trim (LipoTrim) Fat Burner Review & Information

The ingredient profile of Lipo Trim is, in fat burner terms, as old as the hills. Not to say it doesn't contain some very useful ingredients, but the effects realized by this formula will be subtle at best -- at least for most people.

So what's in Lipo Trim?

Well, let's start with three ingredients commonly labeled as "lipotropic factors." They are choline, methionine, and inositol. These three ingredients play a critical role ensuring proper fat metabolism by the liver. In people with normal liver function, they nurture the liver, and help maintain optimal functionality. It is for those with liver "issues" that three ingredients offer the greatest benefit.

For instance, in one study it was shown that choline supplementation reversed fatty liver disease -- something that can occur when the liver has an inability to process fats properly (Hepatology, 1995;22(5):1399-1403).

In cases where compromised fat metabolism by the liver is a problem, supplementation can prove beneficial. However, if overweight is caused by a combination of sedentary lifestyle and overconsumption of calories, it's unlikely this trio of ingredients will provide you with much benefit.

Lipo Trim also contains chromium picolinate. Chromium is a worthwhile ingredient in any fat burner due to its insulin regulating function. It's very helpful for balancing blood sugar levels, which leads stable energy levels, and a reduction in cravings for sweets (chromium is reviewed in full here!).

Also finding its way into this formulation is L-carnitine. Much has been made of this ingredient's ability to stimulate the burning of fatty acids in the mitochondria of the cell (think of the mitochondria as the cell's "furnace"). Theoretically, supplementing with l-carnitine should lead to increased fat burning. However, studies to date have been largely unequivocal -- and any studies that have shown positive results with performed with 4-12 times the dosage included in this product.

Wrapping up the Lipo Trim formula is taurine and vitamin B6. B6 can be critical in the maintaining of balanced blood sugar levels, and taurine, an amino acid, also plays a role in this regard.

Bottom line on Lipo Trim?

The lipotropic factors in Lipo Trim means its a good "maintenance" product, but I suspect only individuals with compromised liver function will really notice much benefit from Lipo Trim.
