Despite the hype, the Zotrim "slimming pill" is a pretty common formula containing a blend of 3 herbs -- mate, guarana, and damiana (exactly how much of each ingredient is included in the formula is hidden from us -- it is displayed as a percentage of the formula, making it impossible to access the efficacy of this product).

While advertisers like to make a big thing of these 3 South American herbs and their near mystical powers, you should recognize that at least 2 of these 3 ingredients are commonplace in just about every fat burner on the market these days. In other words, there's nothing really special about their place in this formula.

New Diet Review: NxCare's NV

NxCare's NV claims to be the first rapid fat burner with "beauty enhancing properties." In other words, NxCare claims NV can help you lose weight fast, while improving the look of the your skin, hair, and nails. If you're a regular visitor to this Web site, it probably won't surprise you to learn that NxCare's NV isn't particularly revolutionary, although I'll have to say the display box is a lovely shade of red.

NO2 (nitric oxide) supplements have gained quite a following since they initially debuted on the market as a supplement. A number of bodybuilders are intrigued by NO2, just as they were captivated when creatine first hit the market. Advertisements for nitric oxide tout it as a means for promoting increased lean mass, enhancing fast twitch muscle, quicker recovery and improved strength.

Pete Sisco's Lifetime Strength

Pete Sisco (well-known for his work with top bodybuilding magazines) has revised and updated his superb "Train Smart" Precision Training publication, and re-released it as "Lifetime Strength." I'm about half-way through the new publication now, and can confidently say it's as fantastic a publication as the original. However, it is based on the same principles as Train Smart, and you probably won't want to upgrade to the new version if you already own the original publication.
