| San Tight Fat Burner Review!
A lot of you have been asking about San's Tight!® fat burner recently. As far as formulations go, this is an interesting one.
What's in San Tight!®?
Well, to begin with there are the usual suspects, caffeine (a mild thermogenic) and green tea.
Green tea, as you know, is a pretty good ingredient for weight loss. In fact, a new study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (Vol. 81, No. 1, 122-129, January 2005), indicated the ingestion of a tea rich in catechins (catechins are a major component of green tea extract) leads to both a lowering of bodyfat AND of cholesterol levels.
Green tea has also been shown to increase metabolic rate -- by about 4% in one study (that's less than a hundred calories per day for an average individual). It's also a powerful anti-oxidant, a glucose moderator and source of the mild thermogenic, caffeine.

Gary Matthews' Maximum Weight Gain
I really enjoyed Australian fitness guru Gary Matthews' Maximum Weight Loss (reviewed here!). It's not surprising therefore, that I was thrilled at the idea of reviewing his new publication, Maximum Weight Gain. And I wasn't disappointed.
What's Gary's main focus in Maximum Weight Gain?
It is to address the all-too-common phenomena of overtraining. Overtraining batters the body, making it susceptible to injury, and depresses the immune system, making you prone to sickness.
More importantly, it raises the levels of the natural stress hormone cortisol, a highly catabolic (muscle-wasting) compound. In other words, overtraining may be interfering with your ability to make gains!
According to Gary, working out too much is counterproductive, not only for building muscle, but for staying healthy. And he's not alone... in Pete Sisco's Train Smart (reviewed here), there's a definite focus to moving away from 4-6 training sessions per week to a few sessions every couple of weeks and even less.
