| Cortislim Warning!
Cortislim, if you haven't heard, is the newest "miracle" supplement
that "works" by controlling weight gain and accelerating fat burning
by negating the effects of the hormone cortisol. That's the theory
anyway. The reality is somewhat different -- if you haven't read
the review yet...

Anyhow, I got an e-mail from a visitor a while back -- one that you
may be interested in reading. It seems the makers of cortislim
are implementing the same deceptive and underhanded billing
practices currently used by other less than scrupulous manufacturers.
Here's the letter (thanks to Jim for sending it along)...
---
I was intrigued by your write up on cortislim.
Unfortunately my wife had already ordered a couple of bottles of the
stuff. She maintained a low carb diet and regular aerobic and weight
training exercise program while on cortislim, but continued to gain
weight. She did say that she was calmer (maybe I need to take a couple
before I again confront the company).
I have tried to contact cortislim about stopping their automatic shipping
process and about their money back guarantee. However they won't respond
to any of my requests by e-mail, and their customer NO-service never talks
with you -- it just runs a 20 minute infommercial in a loop. You can use
this e-mail on your site to warn others if you wish, as I know I am not
alone.

Bottom line?
Watch Out! The makers of Cortislim are interested in one thing only, and
it isn't customer satisfaction.
Buyer beware!
Media and Press 1, Ephedra 0
As you know, the U.S. is now moving quickly towards a full ban of ephedra
based products. This, despite the reams of data showing that when used
properly, ephedra poses little threat to healthy individuals.
In my opinion, the overblown, sensational, and downright irresponsible press
coverage given to the ephedra issue has a lot to do with the ban, and
the public's growing unease with the availability of ephedra based products.
Case in point...
Last year, a member of the Baltimore Orioles professional baseball team, Steve
Bechler, died shortly after a spring training session. Mr. Bechler, who was seriously
overweight, had been using the ephedra-based diet pill, Xenadrine Rfa-1 at the
time of his death. The Baltimore Orioles were quick to blame the unfortunate
Mr. Bechler's death on Xenadrine. The press, of course, were quick jump on
the bandwagon, and blow the story way out of proportion with exaggerated
tales of ephedra's dangers.
All this, of course, occurred long before the toxicology reports on Mr. Bechler
were in. And while the media were quick to inflate the "supposed" dangers of ephedra,
they were much less interested in following up on the story, and providing
their audience with the official version of how Mr. Bechler did die.
And what was the official version? Here's an excerpt from a recent press
release...
A forensic investigation conducted by former New York City Medical Examiner Dr. Michael M. Baden concluded that "Xenadrine did not cause or contribute to Mr. Bechler's death." At the time of his death, Mr. Bechler weighed approximately 320 pounds and on February 16, when Mr. Bechler collapsed on the playing field and later died of heat stroke, the temperature on the field was 81 degrees and the humidity 75 percent. Based on these facts, Dr. Baden concluded that Mr. Bechler "died of a heat stroke precipitated by his morbid obesity, high blood pressure and heart disease, adverse weather conditions, physical exertion, and inadequate screening, monitoring and medical supervision."
In fact, this conclusion has lead the makers of Xenadrine to launch their own lawsuit against the
Orioles, who, at first glance anyway, seem to have seen Cytodyne as a convenient patsy, and a perfect
way to deflect attention from their own failed responsibilities. For those of you who are interested...
Here's the link to the press release!
While Cytodyne and Xenadrine have certainly been vindicated in the death of Mr. Bechler,
the majority of the public are still under the impression that ephedra did kill him.
Thanks in large part to the press for not following up on this story and presenting their
respective audiences with the truth, we all lose out -- a powerful and effective fat burner
will soon no longer be available.
Sad but true.
P.S. A pet peeve of mine is that no one in the press or any other industry
for instance, seems to be interested in pointing out that ephedra alkaloids
are a common ingredient in almost every over-the-counter cough and cold
medicine. Check your product's label for pseudoephedrine hydrochloride.
